| Who we are: |
We are a group of qualified yoga teachers and student teachers in the North Cumbria area. The NLYG is open to all teachers or students of all yoga disciplines including any person on a yoga foundation course. |

| Aims of the Group: |
The main aim is to enable peer support, sharing of knowledge and experience and networking within the group. This is done by meeting 4 times a year to share a practical yoga session and to use our website to promote classes and related yoga events within Cumbria. |

| Participation: |
We meet 4 times a year within the North Cumbria area: Carlisle, Cockermouth and Penrith. Meetings are usually scheduled in September, November, March and June. September to March we have a practice session guided by a teacher within the group, followed by a shared lunch with the chance to converse with each other and any topics for discussion can be brought up. The June day is different – a special event – an Open Day – where we invite a prominent guest teacher. This day teachers can invite their enthusiastic students, see events for details. |

| Organisation: |
The Group was founded in September 2005 and organised by Gina Farncombe and Linda Allam during 2005/06. Gina and Linda continue to manage the Web Site, please direct all web site queries to Gina and Linda. The organisers for 2007-2008 are Carol Marples and Jean Grace. Please direct all membership and events queries to the Carol and Jean. See contact information for details, the administrators change every two years. The organisation is run voluntarily. |

Any additions or amendments should be given to Linda at the meetings or emailed to her by the meeting date if you want changes to be included.
